AC Chargers
AC chargers send alternating current to the vehicle. The car’s onboard charger converts it to DC for the battery.
- Level 1: Standard wall outlet, 1–2 kW. Very slow.
- Level 2: 7–22 kW. Common for home, workplace, and hotel charging.
DC Fast Chargers
DC chargers convert AC to DC internally and supply power directly to the battery. They are used where speed matters.
- DC fast: 20–160 kW
- DC ultra-fast: 180–360 kW
- DC modular / HPC: 360–1,200 kW for hubs and depots
Wallbox Chargers
A wallbox is a compact AC or small DC charger mounted on a wall. Wallboxes are popular for residential, office, and hospitality installations.
V2G and Bidirectional Chargers
Vehicle-to-grid (V2G) chargers can send power back to the grid or building. They turn parked EVs into energy storage assets that earn revenue through grid services.
