Business News
Tesla
Tesla has officially announced that the company has opened more than 800 charging stations, which include over 450 supercharging stations and more than 350 destination charging stations.
BMW
The BMW Group has announced the start of construction on a battery assembly plant in Thailand, with an investment of over 1.6 billion Thai baht (approximately 42 million euros).
Mercedes-Benz and BMW
The Beijing Yianqi New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., a joint venture between Mercedes-Benz and BMW, has officially settled in Chaoyang District, Beijing. It will operate a supercharging network in the Chinese market.
Shell
Shell plans to divest approximately 500 Shell-owned gas stations annually over the next two years. It is expected that the number of charging terminals will increase to 200,000 by 2030, currently standing at only 54,000.

United States
The Federal Highway Administration of the United States has confirmed that since the implementation of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law over two years ago, only four states – Hawaii, New York, Ohio, and Pennsylvania – have opened seven public charging stations with a total of 38 charging points for public use. Additionally, four other states are currently constructing public charging stations while twelve states have selected construction contractors.
European Union
The European Union Official Journal has published the implementation regulations of the European Commission on the registration of imported Chinese electric vehicles. Starting from the second day after the publication of the official journal, which is March 7th, EU customs will conduct a nine-month registration for Chinese electric vehicles.
South Africa
The Department of Trade, Industry and Competition in South Africa has released a White Paper on electric vehicles, declaring that the country’s automotive industry is entering a crucial stage.
Laos
Recently, the Laotian government has set a target for electric vehicles to account for at least 30% of the country’s total vehicle ownership by 2030 and has implemented incentives such as tax benefits.
